Bye bye Photoshop

It has been bugging me for a while. I used Adobe Photoshop in combination with Lightroom for the better part of the last 15 years. I subscribed to the CreativeCloud offer and ever since was looking for credible and workable alternatives. A couple of weeks ago I canceled my ongoing subscription and was surprised when Adobe charged me an additional 50 bucks (42 Euro) penalty fees. Well, that is not how you get (customer) satisfaction. Then, some weeks later Adobe announced a pricing modification of around 20 EUR (instead of formerly 12 EUR monthly) for their photography package – wow! Well I am using Capture One and Affinity Photo now for a while and I am more than satisfied with the solutions.

15th of April 2019, Notre-Dame is burning

It is a sad day today, Notre-Dame de Paris is burning. A day to remember. Around 400 firefighters worked all the night to secure precious art and historical invaluable items. I was profoundly touched by the images of a burning Notre-Dame. Here are some images, taken over the last 15 years.
